Dear Parents and Primary Students,
I hope this message finds you well.
Firstly, we are thrilled to share that our recent CPL (Class Parent Liaison) meeting on Wednesday was incredibly productive. We discussed several key issues and developed strategies to enhance our school community. We want to extend a special thank you to all the parents who have supported their CPL representatives. Your involvement and input are invaluable in helping us create a positive and collaborative environment for our children.
Lost and Found Reminder
We have noticed an increasing number of unmarked clothing, caps, and water bottles in our Lost and Found pile. Please remind your children that they are responsible for their belongings and should take care to keep track of what they bring to school. To address this ongoing issue, we are working on creating a new structure for the Lost and Found system, which we will share with you soon. In the meantime, please ensure that all personal items are clearly marked with your child's name and surname to facilitate their return.
Thank you to our YWAM Volunteers
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the YWAM (Youth With A Mission) volunteers who have generously spent time with us over the past few weeks. Their dedication and enthusiasm have made a significant impact, and we are grateful for their contributions to our school community.
Staff Farewells
This week, we say goodbye to Ms. Tanya, who has been an integral part of our team. We thank her for her dedication and wish her all the best in her future endeavours. Additionally, a reminder that Ms. Nditha will be finishing her time with us, with her last day being Wednesday. We appreciate all she has done for our students and the school, and she will be greatly missed!
Welcoming Swiss Student Teachers
We are excited to announce that we will be welcoming three Swiss student teachers over the next couple of weeks. They will be here to gain practical teaching experience and to learn from our dedicated staff team. We are looking forward to the fresh perspectives and enthusiasm they will bring to our classrooms.
Annual Spelling Bee
Next Friday evening, a group of our students will be participating in the annual Spelling Bee. We wish them all the best as they prepare for this event. Their hard work and dedication are commendable, and we are confident they will represent Lighthouse Primary School with pride.
Spiritual Formation Journey
We continue our spiritual formation journey by exploring the life of David. Through his story, we are teaching our students important lessons about faith, leadership, and resilience. This ties into our ongoing focus on the school value of resilience, encouraging our students to persevere through challenges and grow stronger in the face of adversity.

Reception Admission 2025 OPEN
As we give priority to siblings for admission, please ensure that you send your application as soon as possible, if you have a child at the right age to join the Reception class next year (i.e. 4 years old turning 5 years old in 2025). Click here for the link to the online application.
Uniform Shop
We are happy to announce that the Fidem house shirts have arrived!
General reminders and clarifications:
- Please only send your child to collect a uniform item, if they know their size, and have the correct cash available or once you've made a Juice payment and sent POP to uniform@lighthouse.edu.mu
- If you have purchased and paid for an incorrectly coloured (maroon) Fidem shirt before, please send the incorrect shirt with your child to the uniform shop. Only once we receive the original shirt, will we replace it with the correct coloured shirt. This also ensures that we provide you with the correct size. Note that only the incorrectly coloured Fidem shirts will be replaced.
- Parents who have not yet bought Fidem shirts before, are welcome to do so, by following the above protocol.
Click here for the uniform price list and order form. Please note that the Uniform Shop will be closed on Monday, 3 June, and open on Tuesday, 4 June from 12:00 - 15:00. It will be open on Thursday, 6 June, at the usual times of 08:00 - 14:00.
Traffic rules at drop-off & pick-up
Please be reminded of our traffic requirements at drop-off and pick-up times, to ensure a safe campus and a better experience for all.
Lighthouse access, parking & traffic guidelines:
Drop-off before 07:30 is discouraged as supervision is not provided during this time. Please understand that the school cannot assume responsibility for any incidents that may occur before official supervision begins.
We kindly request that parents refrain from arriving before 14:45 for pick-up. Early arrivals hinder us from using our sports fields, as well as impacting smooth traffic flow for school visitors. Early arrivals also pose safety concerns as we cannot monitor campus access effectively. If all guidelines are followed, collection should not take more than 15 minutes.
The small bottom side gate is only for teachers and students. No parents are allowed to access campus through this gate.
Please avoid parking on the left sidewalk just before our main entrance gate, as it causes significant congestion.
Children may not be called out of class after 14:00 unless there is a pre-arranged doctor's appointment, communicated (as far in advance as possible) with their teacher via email or through reception.
Please note, siblings will not be grouped together for pick-up arrangements. Instead, all children will gather at designated pick-up points. This measure ensures better supervision and enhances overall safety protocols.
Your co-operation in adhering to these guidelines is greatly appreciated as we strive to maintain a secure and organised environment for all students and visitors. The above rules will be enforced by our staff team and we ask that you please adhere to, and respect our rules - thank you in advance for your understanding and support!
