Reception Parents' Breakfast
We also hosted a very successful and well-supported parents' breakfast morning in our Reception classes last week Wednesday. Our children loved having their parents in the school.  I would like thank our Reception team for putting together such a beautiful morning. From the nail painting station to the food all was catered to so well. Thank you also to our support staff who ensured a smooth morning. 

Sports & Clubs sign-ups
We had such a wonderful term of sports and clubs and decided to use this newsletter to not only showcase what happened in our sports and clubs this term but also to promote the different sports and clubs on offer for next term and invite you to sign- up.

We are also inviting you to start signing up for next term from today on EdAdmin (Edana). There are limited spaces available so be sure to sign up quickly!

For desktop/ web browser:
Click on your child's profile > Click on the Sports and Club tab at the top -> choose an activity to sign up.

Mobile app:
Click on your child's profile > Click on 'Activities' > Click on 'Sign up activities for Term 2, 2024'. Click on > of each activity to expand for more info.

Weekly Primary News

Book Week and our Dress-up Day on Friday! 

This year's Lighthouse Book Week ( since we don't follow the international day one) promises to be a lot of fun.

The teachers have a lot in store for this week:

Tuesday:

• Buddy Reading where the upper Primary will be coming to read to the Lower Primary during the club time.
  
  Thursday:

• Literacy Walk-Through - Upper Primary will turn into interactive literacy classes where other classes will be invited to view creative activities completed around books such as redesigning book covers, writing blurbs, poems etc...

• Mystery Readers - Lower Primary will have mystery readers coming to read books to them!
  
  During the week, teachers will also read a book of their choosing to their class and will decorate their boards or doors according to the book they will focus on. 

Friday:

• Dress-up Day! - Be ready to see awesome Book Characters coming alive on Book Day! Unleash your inner adventurer and immerse yourself in the captivating world of your favourite character on that day. 
  
  Please remember to use your creativity and use whatever you have at home. The characters need to be from a book - not from a movie! 

House T-shirts/Uniform 

We are happy to share that our PE/ Sports kit smaller sizes have arrived! We have received new stock in sizes 2 - 8. 

Limited stock available, so be sure to pop into the uniform shop on Mondays or Thursdays from 08:00-14:00. 

Please note:

• AMARE house t-shirts are now available

• FIDEM house t-shirts, unfortunately, currently unavailable

• Caps are in stock; however, we are awaiting the arrival of hats

• Small skorts are still unavailable; we expect new stock to arrive by mid to late April
