Clubs are 1 to 2 hour long activities that run with the same group of students for multiple sessions during the school year. These sessions tend to be once a week or once a month for 7 to 10 sessions. All clubs are offered for various grade levels dependant on the interest of the location.

Club Descriptions


Life Skills: Critical Thinking, Problem solving, and Teamwork

This club will offer hands-on activities in various STEM topics from Biology/ Living things to Programming as well as engineering design challenges and math/ logic puzzles.

Innovative Designers

Life Skills: Problem Solving, Creative thinking, and Giving and Receiving Feedback.

Club members will learn about innovative ideas and discoveries made in STEM fields while learning what it takes to make inventions of their own. This club will get kids thinking about what problems exist in the world and how they could use discoveries in STEM to make improvements. Topics include but are not limited to Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, building and design, and technology.


Life Skills: Communication, Teamwork, and Leadership

Club will pair youth with senior residents at the retirement resident to learn about STEM and the impacts of technology on people in retirement homes. Our goal for this program is to allow the two generations to inspire and educate each other through hands-on STEM activities.


Life Skills: Creative Thinking, Teamwork, and Problem Solving

Ever wondered how the worlds of Art and STEM overlap? Join Sarah, an Artist and a Scientist, in a club that builds, creates, paints, and makes music all with the help of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math)

Math Explorers

Life Skills: Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Teamwork

This club is for those kids who love math and puzzles! Help us through escape rooms, determine the age of trees, and experiment with bottle flipping! This club is run in partnership with the Math and Statistics Department at the UoG.

Space Exploration

Space Exploration with Life Gears Academy. Ever wonder what's out there? Join us to make planets, design aliens, build rockets, and much more!

Sports and STEM

Play sports outside while learning the STEM connections to athletics! This camp will be run in partnership with Onside Athletics.
