After introducing and explaining the topic to students, we will be working in teams in order to start practicing and getting in touch with the knowledge just provided.
They will have worksheets or Chromebooks so they can access the exercises to complete in their notebooks. These exercises will be checked before the class finishes and will be graded in order to track the process and development of their math skills.
With these stations, students are led to be more independent and responsible. Also, they will learn to manage their time so they can work smoothly while taking their time limit into account. They will be instructed on how and when to change the station while having fun with each different activity and challenge they may face.
Learning stations are something they really enjoy doing during classes. These will be conducted as frequently as possible, but taking into account how the behavior goes through classes, we'll decide how often we can have them applied.
Since I believe that learning is not only seen inside the classroom, I look forward to letting my students go outside and have fun while applying and learning what has been taught.
Through gamification, my intention is to make Math classes entertaining and meaningful for all of them, recognizing the different learning styles they have and allowing them to develop not only mental skills but also their abilities to work in teams and look for strategies to improve their knowledge.
