Our advocacy focuses on raising mental health awareness, a critical issue in today's generation, with the goal of uniting people to take action and fight the stigma. Through this initiative, we want to remind individuals that they are not alone, their feelings are valid, and they deserve to be heard. In our video, we emphasize the importance of not invalidating others' emotions, as we can never fully understand their struggles. By validating feelings and showing empathy, we help others feel seen, heard, and supported, making them feel important and valued. This experience has made me realize how powerful our voices are when we come together to spread awareness and create meaningful change in support of mental health.
Our website provides a powerful platform to make our voices heard globally, spreading awareness about mental health to reach those who feel mentally unstable. I’m truly fascinated by how technology allows us to communicate and connect with people, and I’m grateful for the opportunity it gives us, like with our mental health awareness website. This platform not only helps motivate people to feel heard but also reassures them that they are not alone, and it's crucial to take action for this cause. As senior high students, I’m proud that we have the power to spread awareness and show how our voices can make a difference. I’ve learned that we should never remain silent about this pressing issue; if we don’t take action or speak out, the problem could worsen. One voice, one action, can create meaningful change. Empowering the unheard is our way of making the world a better place.
My reflection about our mental health advocacy project was well-made and reminded me not to ignore others' emotions. I loved the song "You Be Safe Here" because it brings comfort. Even with few likes, we know it inspired others to speak up. As a student, I’ve felt stressed and lost, but opening up to supportive people really helped.
Websites provide a platform for connection, support, and knowledge, making them effective tools for mental health. They have the power to dispel stigma, offer assistance, and promote a feeling of belonging. Websites are useful, but they shouldn't take the place of expert assistance.
Our advocacy is focused on mental health awareness and the importance of validating our friends' feelings. When a friend feels alone or misunderstood, it’s essential to remind them that there are people who care and are willing to listen. We believe in the power of empathy and support; everyone deserves to have their feelings acknowledged and to have a safe space to express themselves. By listening to others' concerns, we can provide them with the understanding they need.
While creating our website, we shared ideas and worked together effectively. Our leader, who is hardworking, guided us throughout the process. We balanced our responsibilities well—some team members focused on editing, while others contributed content and posts. We also updated our 'Get to Know Us' section, sharing our interests and personal stories to connect with our audience.
Mental health awareness is the topic we chose for our advocacy because many of my co-members are experiencing mental health challenges. These are often due to increased schoolwork, family issues, and other factors. Working on our advocacy has made me realize the importance of being aware of our mental health, whether it is in good condition or not. Checking on your friends or loved ones is essential, and listening to their problems helps them feel they are not alone. I encourage everyone to prioritize mental health awareness, as it enables us to support others and make a positive impact.
While working on our website, it was a bit tiring because we initially didn’t have the knowledge to create one. However, by listening to our teacher’s discussions and studying, we gradually learned how to do it. I realized that our website is incredibly useful because it helps people understand mental health better and learn how to maintain a positive mindset.
That message really resonated with me. It's a powerful reminder that my voice matters, and that even small actions can create positive change. The call to "choose to understand" really stuck with me, highlighting the importance of empathy in our interactions. It's inspiring to know that we can work together to make things better, and I'm ready to find ways to use my voice and actions to make a difference, even if it's just one small step at a time.
And about on website, i didn't do anything I just did my part. It's not always easy, I'm thankful on my groupmates and I'm especially grateful for our leader, who worked so hard to make everything come together.
Mental health awareness is about understanding and acknowledging the importance of mental well-being. It aims to break down stigma, reduce discrimination, and encourage help-seeking behavior. Its purpose is to create a society where mental health is valued and supported, just like physical health.
Website creation is a journey of discovery, learning, and growth. It's a process that requires patience, perseverance, and a willingness to embrace both the technical and creative aspects of this exciting endeavor.
