⬆️ The more you know! The popular board game that requires players to work together to keep a tower of blocks from collapsing derived its name from a Swahili word! We're using the original Swahili word for our game, because a) we think it's beautiful and b) copyright!

To set up the game, you'll first need to create a tower using all 54 Kujenga blocks. Stack all of the blocks in levels of three placed next to each other along their long sides and at a right angle to the previous level. Note: you do not need to stack the blocks by color, but you can if you want to!

Be sure to place all blocks sticker side down! This will be important later.
Once the tower is built, the person in your group with the most experience in education (in years) goes first. After that, play continues clockwise.

Step 1: roll one of the multi colored dice. (There are two in your bag, but you only need one).

Step 3: Complete the task associated with the sticker on the block you removed! Remember, these tasks are designed to make you think and to help you improve your practice, so... players who take their time and engage fully will get the most out of the game.
Note 1: Some task pages contain a "Did You Know?" section with links to more information about the content of the task. You do NOT need to explore these resources as part of your play. They have been curated as further reading for those who would like to learn more about a particular topic.
Note 2: If you select a block with no sticker on it: congrats! You've just pulled a wild card! This means you get to select any of the emojis you want.
Note 3: If multiple players pull bricks with the same emoji sticker on them, as a team, you may decide to allow some players to select a different emoji task to explore. There are 16 tasks in total; the more unique tasks you are able to explore, the more you will get out of the game.
Step 4: BONUS: Spin the color wheel below each task. Then click on the color that corresponds with your spin. Complete the task to add (or deduct!) points from your score. Note: the game facilitator (that's me!) may decide to award even more points to those who perform their bonus tasks with flair! Speaking of your score...

Bad news! The person who causes the crash loses all their points!
Good news! If this happens early enough in play (with others still playing) your team can start over.
The object of the game is to reflect on our practice and learn new ideas while having fun!
**Players may use only one hand at a time; either hand may be used, but only one hand may touch the tower at any time. Players may tap a block to find a loose one. Any blocks moved but not played should be replaced, unless doing so would make the tower fall. The turn ends when the next player touches the tower, or after ten seconds, whichever occurs first.
