Student Growth Measures (70%)
Liberty Hill ISD will utilize the growth targets established by the vendors for NWEA and iStation assessments. See the vendor assessments for more detail regarding student growth. The district will also utilize the growth targets established by TEA for STAAR/EOC using the Transition Tables. At the end of the school year, the district will examine whether or not individual students met their post-test scores.
To calculate the classroom student growth score for a teacher, the district will use a numerical scoring process based on a 5-point scale. For each eligible teacher, the teacher will first compute the percentage of students who met or exceeded their expected growth target. The district will then convert those percentages to scale scores utilizing the metrics provided below, which are aligned to TEA Statewide Performance Standards for TIA.
Reading and Math Teachers student growth will be measured by the number of students who met or exceed their expected growth as calculated using the State Transition Tables for their content area. For TIA purposes, student growth calculation will be based on the number of student who earned 1.0 points (green squares)
