Summer School Instructional Programs
LHISD is proud to provide a menu of high-quality academic programs designed to meet our students’ diverse summer school needs. It is our goal to offer students a variety of academic opportunities that best meet the individual needs of learners in summer school. Opportunities include:
Elementary Summer Learning
ESL - The district provides elementary summer school (for LHISD students only) to current PreK and Kinder students who are identified as an Emergent Bilingual (EB) and participating in the English as a Second Language Program or the Dual Language Program. Important Information: Participation in Elementary Summer School is by invitation only. Students who qualify will receive a packet from their school. Elementary Summer School instruction will target intense skill development for literacy and math learners. Vocabulary and comprehension development will be the focus for Emergent Bilingual students.
Grades: current PreK - Kinder
Dates: May 29-31 - (Wed-Fri), June 3-6 (Mon-Thurs), June 10-13 (Mon-Thurs), June 17-20 (Mon-Thurs)
Hours: 7:45 am - 3:45 pm
Location: Liberty Hill Elementary
Fee: None
Meals: Snacks provided.
Eligibility: Enrolled PreK and Kinder Emergent Bilingual (EB) students
Transportation: Provided
LHISD Secondary Summer School will provide an opportunity for the students to find confidence and success through a positive, warm, and caring environment.
High School Credit Recovery
High School Summer School: High School learners are offered opportunities for credit recovery (for courses students earned a grade below a 70)
Dates: June 3 - June 20 (Monday – Thursdays only)
Hours: 8:00-11:00 Monday-Thursday
Location: Liberty Hill High School
Fee: $150 per student ($50 if student qualifies for free/reduced lunch)
Registration : By May 31
Eligibility: Credit recovery for core subjects
Transportation: Provided

High School End-of-Course Preparation
High School Summer School: High School learners are offered instruction in preparation for End-of-Course exams.
Dates: June 3 - June 20 (Monday – Thursdays only)
Hours: 8:00 - 11:00 Monday -Thursday
Location: Liberty Hill High School
Fee: None
Eligibility: Students who have not met the passing standard on the End-of-Course assessment
Transportation: Provided
Testing Dates for Summer EOC: June 17-19

Wednesday, June 19, 2023: English II & Biology
ALL STUDENTS REPORT BETWEEN 7:30-8:00.
TESTING BEGINS AT 8:00 A.M.
ALL TESTING AT LIBERTY HILL HIGH SCHOOL.
**If a student misses the designated test date, please contact the summer school principal to make arrangements for a makeup test within the same week.
