LHISD is proud to provide a menu of high-quality academic programs designed to meet our students’ diverse summer school needs. It is our goal to offer students a variety of academic opportunities that best meet the individual needs of learners in summer school. Opportunities include:
ESL - The district provides elementary summer school (for LHISD students only) to current PreK and Kinder students who are identified as an Emergent Bilingual (EB) and participating in the English as a Second Language Program or the Dual Language Program. Important Information: Participation in Elementary Summer School is by invitation only. Elementary EB Summer School instruction will target intense skill development for literacy and math learners. Vocabulary and comprehension development will be the focus for Emergent Bilingual students.

Dates: June 1-25 (Monday - Thursday)
Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Location: Liberty Hill Elementary
Fee: None
Eligibility: Enrolled PreK and Kinder Emergent Bilingual (EB) students
Transportation: Provided
High School Summer School: High School learners are offered opportunities for credit recovery (for courses students earned a grade below a 70)
Dates: June 8-25 (Monday – Thursdays)
Hours: 8:00 am -11:00 am
Location: Liberty Hill Middle School
Fee: $150 per student ($50 if student qualifies for free/reduced lunch)
Registration : TBD
Eligibility: Credit recovery for core subjects
Transportation: Provided

High School Summer School: High School learners are offered instruction in preparation for End-of-Course exams.
Dates: June 2 - 18 (Monday – Thursdays)
Hours: 8:00 am -11:00 am
Location: Liberty Hill Middle School
Fee: None
Eligibility: Students who have not met the passing standard on the End-of-Course assessment
Transportation: Provided
Testing Dates for Summer EOC: June 22-25

**If a student misses the designated test date, please contact the summer school principal to make arrangements for a makeup test within the same week.
Monday- Thursday June 1, 2026 - June 11, 2026: Session 1 (students will be assigned an AM or PM group)
Monday- Thursday July 13, 2026 - July 30, 2026: Session 2 (students will be assigned an AM or PM group)
Eligibility: The need for this service must be determined by an ARD committee
ESY- The district provides Special Education Students (LHISD students only) with the opportunity to continue working to maintain progress made on goals during the summer through our Extended School Year Program. This is intended to help prevent skill regression over the summer break. Important Information: Participation in ESY is by invitation only. Students who qualify will receive a packet from district staff.
Elementary ESY will be located at Liberty Hill Elementary School
Secondary ESY will be held at Liberty Hill Middle School
