A.P. World History

Welcome!

My name is Ms. Julia Schoolenberg and I'm the teacher of record for AP World History for 2018-2019!

A little about me:

I'm originally from Michigan, went to Michigan State University where I graduated with a double major in Political Science and Spanish. I moved to Texas in November of 2010 and soon after went back to school to get my teacher certification and Master's of Secondary Education from Texas State University.

I've been teaching at Liberty Hill since August of 2015 and so this is my fourth year teaching at this wonderful school!

About the course:

AP World History is a College Board class where the students learn key concepts, historical thinking skills, and, due to the rigor of the course, time management skills.

Below is a link to the college board PDF of the historical thinking skills and key concepts required by the College Board.

Also below is a link to your online textbook with which your online textbook is aligned. If you have forgotten your login information, remember I had each of you take a picture of it and star/heart the picture so that way it should be easily found in your pictures.

One date to be made aware of is May 16th, 2019 which is the day of the AP World History Exam that will be at 8 AM at the high school. Please make sure your student has a good dinner (I recommend carbo-loading because that is what has been recommended to me before a big test so pasta would be great!), plentiful rest, a healthy breakfast, a No. 2 wooden pencil and a black or dark blue ink pen for their test.

I will be posting a calendar with some due dates on it in the next few days.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. My e-mail is jschoolenberg@libertyhill.txed.net

Everyday is a great day to be a Panther!
