6th Grade Art

In 6th Grade Art, the students will focus on understanding the elements of art and principles of design as they explore using different medium.

The Elements of Art line, shape, space, value, form, texture, and color, are the building blocks, or ingredients, of art.

The Principles of Design unity, variety, emphasis, rhythm & movement, balance, pattern, and proportion allow artists to organize compositions to communicate effectively.

The students will also use perception, creative expression, and historical references to make evaluations of art work.
