Student Requirements for participation in the Liberty County School District Work-Based Learning Program:
*The Work-Based Learning Coordinator may make exceptions to these criteria on a per need basis.
135 hours worked per block released from school
1-block release = 135 hours for the semester or 7.5 hours a week for 18 weeks
2-block release = 270 hours for the semester or 15 hours a week for 18 weeks
3-block release = 405 hours for the semester or 22.5 hours a week for 18 weeks
No severe or consistent discipline issues
ISS, OSS, or other disciplinary actions will be considered in the application process and may influence your acceptance into the Work-Based learning program.
Must have appropriate CTAE courses for job placement
On track to graduate
16 years or older
Reliable transportation
Parent Consent
Attendance will be considered in the application process and may influence your acceptance into the Work-Based learning program. (must have at least a 90% attendance record)
