Advanced Placement Overview
The Advanced Placement Program® (AP) enables willing and academically prepared students to pursue college-level studies while still in high school.
The program consists of college-level courses developed by the AP Program that high schools can choose to offer, and corresponding exams that are administered once a year.
In Liberty County, AP courses begin in January and end in May. Students take the AP exam in May, and they receive their scores in July. All students are welcome to take AP courses.
Advanced Placement Exam Dates
Students will take their AP exams at the Performing Arts Center (PAC). Transportation will be provided, with students riding a bus from their home school to the PAC.
A small snack will be provided between exam sections. Please note that afternoon exams will conclude after the regular school day. As a result, students must have appropriate transportation arranged once they return to their home school.

Pricing & Fees
Standard Fee ($90)
The state of Georgia will pay for ONE STEM exam for students who do not qualify for the fee reduction. Each exam after the fact will be $90.
Reduced Fee ($53)
The state of Georgia will pay for ONE exam (STEM or non-STEM) for students who do qualify for the fee reduction. Each exam after the fact will be $53.
To determine if you qualify for the fee reduction, please use this link. This form is included in the "AP Exam Registration" Packet. Please sign and complete it, if your child qualifies for the fee reduction.
