It is hard to believe September is already here! The beginning of a new school year always brings excitement, new opportunities, and a renewed sense of purpose throughout our district. It has been wonderful to welcome our students and staff back and see our classrooms, hallways, and activities come alive again.
As we begin the 2026-2027 school year, I want to thank our staff for the tremendous amount of work that went into preparing for our students. From our teachers and support staff to our transportation, food service, custodial, maintenance, and administrative teams, it truly takes everyone working together to make our schools successful. It is the people who make Liberal a great place to learn, work, and grow.
September is also a great time to remind everyone about the importance of attendance. Every day at school provides another opportunity for students to learn, build relationships, and grow. We encourage families to make regular attendance a priority and appreciate your partnership in getting students to school each day ready to learn.
Thank you to our families, staff, Board of Education, businesses, organizations, and community members for the many ways you support Liberal R-II. We are fortunate to live in a community that cares deeply about its schools and its students.
We have much to be excited about this year, and I look forward to sharing our students' and staff's accomplishments along the way.
