Purpose By Design

The purpose of Cultivated Care for Perinatal Wellness is to cultivate programs, services, and learning opportunities for people along their perinatal journey, as well as to those who provide related services and/or supports to those along the perinatal experience. These programs, services, and learning opportunities are meant to be source of physical, emotional, and mental care.

We have been very deliberate about bringing meaningful experiences and resources to our community. Long talks, deep thoughts, and targeted research have led us to these areas of impact in what we have found to be the most meaningful.

Community

Parents, Birthworkers, Midwives, Medical Providers, Yoga Practitioners

Programs/Events

Birthworker Education, Childbirth & Infant Care Education, Parent Respite Activities

Resources

Birthworker Training Scholarships, Family Donation Collection & Distribution, Perinatal Resource Stipends

Our History

The inception of this work came about as our CEO journeyed through the new life of being a single mother. The care and support that she found along the way reminded her much of the community that encircled her mother, her, and her sisters while their mother was on a similar journey; anchored in the love and care from her parents Ethel and Joe Sr.  Their care and acts of love for their family was more than noble, always graceful, and perfectly created/cultivated for each one of them. This is the foundation and model for Cultivated Care. Our work is because of and in remembrance of them.

Upcoming Events

Cultivated Care... includes a series of free wellness support activities for those at various moments along the perinatal journey AND birth workers.

We are extremely excited about this quarter's events for parents and birth workers; with yoga, mindfulness, and an old fashioned pool party! The time is meant to be a refresher, a means to refill your cup, and opportunity to build in community.

*Child care will resume in August.
