Travel the World
Travel the World
You can discover Academic Travel opportunities by looking for the upcoming trips on the lively Academic Travel bulletin board in the 300 hallway, reading the weekly OLu emails, and viewing advertised trips on OLu TV monitors throughout the school. Group information and sign-up meetings are typically held in the spring and early fall for upcoming trips at Spring Break and Summer Break. People may sign-up at any time as long as there is still room on their desired trip. Each year OLu will have 2 or more domestic and international travel opportunites open to our community. Students, relatives, and friends are welcome to sign-up for these unique "adventures!"
OLu's Academic Travels are planned exclusively through EF (Education First), the largest educational travel company in the world - thus with the most resources placed around the world which are readily avaialble for travel needs. We travel with a ratio of 1/6 chaperone to student for international trips and 1/10 for domestic trips. EF handles all financial payments for travelers, as well as most health and safety needs, while OLu holds regular meetings to disperse information and organize the traveling groups, to share school policies, and review guidelines for positive, successful travel.
