All planners should have a line with Homework or HW and something following it. This is their homework. Often times they will be able to start their HW in class. We also grade most homework together and there is time at the beginning of each class to catch up.

Here are some guides to acronyms:

• RWN = Reader's and Writer's Notebook, each grade has this in my classroom and the pages can be ripped out. These can also be found in Realize.

• WB= Workbook, this refers to either the Cursive or Social Studies workbooks.

• DVD= worksheets printed from the online Reading Street (they were originally accessed via a D.V.D.

• Students can access their Pearson Realize (now Savaas) at home.
