We’ve all been the "new family" trying to figure out drop-off lines, school traditions, and daily routines! The New Family Buddy program pairs seasoned LFSD parents with incoming families during their first few weeks or months to help them feel welcomed, supported, and right at home from day one.
The Role: Be a friendly, go-to contact for a new LFSD family as they settle into our school community.
Format: Entirely up to you and your buddy family—whether that’s a quick phone call, answering questions over text, or meeting up at park playdates.
Time Commitment: Ongoing light touchpoints during the start of the school year.
Our teachers are asking for help in wrapping books in contact paper to keep the books looking their best.
