I am so excited to be your teacher this year!  I have been working in elementary schools for 25 years, and this will be my sixth year with Literacy First.  Helping and guiding children to learn and grow in all aspects of life is truly my passion and brings me great joy.  My goal for each of my students is that they come to a place that they enjoy and are able to be successful, literate members of society.

I grew up in San Diego, and received my Bachelor's degree from William Smith College in Geneva, NY.  I returned to San Diego for five years during which time I worked towards my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from  San Diego State University.  I then returned east to Connecticut where I lived for 12 years.  I've been back in San Diego since December, 2017.  When I am not teaching I am with my 13 year old son, Harrison, and our dog, Carmelo.
