Integrated I

WELCOME: LIBERTY CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL  FAMILY

Welcome to Liberty Charter High School, where our number one priority is literacy. Liberty interprets that to mean fluency and skilled ability with the written and spoken word as well as technology, math, science, media, history, the arts and contemporary culture. It is imperative that we cultivate a classroom where students feel safe and ready to learn. Our mission is to ignite passion in our students by providing the necessary tools and guidance for their academic, social and emotional success.

Class overview

CPM – Integrated Mathematics I course is part of a series of Common Core State Standards-based courses developed around investigations and cooperative learning. This course will help deepen and intensify student understanding built in previous courses by focusing on expanding fluency in the following areas; solving linear equations, inequalities, and systems. Once mastered, students will compile a new set of skills that will allow them to solve simple exponential equations, exploring linear and exponential functions graphically, numerically, symbolically, and as sequences, and by using regression techniques to analyze the fit of models to distributions of data. The CPM curriculum has a focus on team building and leadership in which students have specific roles and responsibilities. Working in teams will allow students to develop social skills and responsibility while persevering as team members of achieving a common goal. Students will receive the support and guidance needed to complete their tasks. Student effort and cooperation is crucial for the continuous growth of the team.
