Welcome! I am so excited to be your child's 4th Grade Teacher this year. I was born and raised in San Diego and ever since I was a young girl, I had always wanted to become a teacher. My first "classroom" was set in a chicken coop in my backyard adorned with shoeless, neighborhood kids as my "students."  We kicked up dirt, played for long hours, and often included the animals in our shenanigans. I now hold a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from National University and a Masters in "Social and Emotional Learning." This will be my third year teaching 4th grade, and my ninth year at Literacy First.  I look forward to using my education, experience, and your partnership in helping foster your child's growth. I look forward to a wonderful year ahead!

These days, I spend much of my time with family as I am lucky to have my parents and siblings in the same city. I have been married to my husband, Neill, for several years and have two children, Landon (22) and Lucas (15). Landon graduated last year from Westmont College, majoring in Sociology and competed on her XC and Track team. Lucas is starting 10th grade at Liberty, and will also be running XC, Track, and playing Soccer.

Outside of school, I love to go on walks with my dog and friends as well as on runs with my husband. As a family, we enjoy watching movies, traveling, farmer's markets, Padres games, and playing with our pup, Heloise.

I am looking forward to getting to know you, your families, and all the wonderful students in my class.  It's going to be a great year!  Please know I am always here to support you.  Communicate with me anytime you need to.  I am honored to be a part of your child's educational journey.  We are on this journey together and I am always here to listen and help.
