What a fantastic start to the school year! I’ve really enjoyed getting to know your children over these past few days. It's been wonderful to see how quickly they’ve settled in and adapted to our classroom routines. I have a great feeling about the year ahead!

📁 Folders
Folders go home every Monday with important paperwork and homework. Please help your child return their folder on Friday with their completed homework inside. Thank you for making sure it is packed in their backpack on Friday mornings!
🍎 Snack Time Guidelines
🍎 Snack Time Guidelines
We eat snack inside the classroom after recess while listening to a read-aloud or finishing a quick lesson. Keeping snack time in the classroom lets the kids focus on playing and building gross motor skills during recess!
One small snack: Please send just one easy-to-open item.
Water only: To keep our classroom clean and avoid sticky messes, water is the only drink permitted. Please no juice or sugary drinks. Thank you for being so supportive!

Join us for Back to School Night to learn all about classroom procedures and what to expect this year! This is an adult-only event, so please make arrangements for your child to stay home so we can focus on parent-teacher collaboration.

Please start checking your child’s folder for the library permission slip. If you return it by Friday, your child will get to check out their very first library book in the next few week! Need a new form? Just let me know.

At LFCS, we focus on building great character! This month, we are learning about Integrity—being trustworthy and honest. In Kindergarten, we sum this up by learning to say, "I make superstar choices!" You can support this at home by praising your child whenever you catch them making a "superstar choice."
