Hello Ocelot Family! My name is Janie Salamat, and I am the proud School Counselor for Olmito Elementary. I began my career in education in 2004 as an elementary teacher and in 2012 continued to follow my passion in supporting students as a school counselor. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Brownsville and a Master's degree in School and Community Counseling from Lamar University. I am thrilled to have joined this wonderful campus! Together, we will make the best team in building social emotional and academic skills!
