SUMaC is a program for sophomores and juniors consisting of lectures, a guided research project, and group problem solving. Focused on pure mathematics, SUMaC students choose one of two course topics, both of which delve into mathematics topics from historical and contemporary research perspectives.

NASA, Texas Space Grant Consortium, and The University of Texas at Austin Center for Space Research Summer Intern Program is a nationally competitive STEM program for high school students. The program provides selected students with exposure to Earth and space research. Interns will learn how to interpret NASA satellite data while working with scientists and engineers in their chosen area of work.

Participants work in teams of three on a college campus, participants complete a hands-on research project. The design incorporates values of collaboration and connection, rigor and challenge, trust and respect, inclusivity and support – exactly what high-potential teens need at this critical life stage, just before they apply to college. The experience accelerates their social and intellectual development, inspiring them to higher confidence and bigger dreams.

Canada/usa mathcamp
Mathcamp offers mathematically gifted high schoolers classes in advanced math. In addition to classes, students work on projects, either individually or in groups, culminating in a project presentation at the end of the session. Mathcamp doesn’t impose requirements or a set curriculum on students and, instead, offers them the freedom to self-direct their time and choose what they want to learn.

Texas A&M Corpus Chrisit, the First Islander Scholars Academy (FISA) is committed to giving first-generation students academic, social, and community support to enrich their college experience, enhance their learning opportunities, and improve their ability to persist and graduate.
First Islander Scholars’ Academy is an Office of Student Success initiative to provide additional support to first-generation college students. For the purpose of the First Islander Scholars’ Academy, first-generation students are defined as college students whose parent(s) or guardian(s) have not obtained a bachelor’s degree. This program offers academic support and community engagement opportunities to enrich the student’s college experience.

Camp ARCH combines academic instruction with social activities so you can experience what it would be like to be a full-time student in one of our programs. Camp Cronkite is where high schoolers from across the country come to grow their media skills—and get a taste of college! Students leave with real media skills and work to bolster (or kickstart!) their professional portfolios. Students choose their own Camp Cronkite adventure by selecting one of the following tracks:
- digital journalism (focuses on writing, photography, graphics and multimedia journalism)
- broadcast journalism (focuses on video, TV, audio and immersive journalism)
- sports media (focuses on sports journalism and team storytelling)
