LeeAnn Barreda   

(A-Errisuriz)

LeeAnn Barreda serves the students at Los Fresnos High School  as a school counselor. She has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2008.

 

During her career  in private education that began in 1995 and public education that began in 2008, she has served as a 3K teacher and high school counselor.


Barreda received her Bachelor's degree in Sociology with minor in Psychology from UT Brownsville and her Master's degree in School Counseling from UT Brownsville.

Adriana Arredondo

(Special Services)

Adriana Arredondo serves the students at Los Fresnos High School as a school counselor. She has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2022.

 

During her career in public education that began in 2017, she has served as an English teacher and school counselor.

 

Arredondo received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas State University and her Master of  Science in Professional School Counseling degree from Angelo State University.

Mely Mata-Hinojosa

(Escalante-Keller)

Manuela Mata-Hinojosa serves the students at Los Fresnos High School as a school counselor. She has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2004.

 

During her career in public education that began in 2004, she has served as a 1st grade teacher, 3rd grade teacher, and school counselor.

 

Mata-Hinojosa received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Brownsville  (UTB) and Master's degree in School Counseling from Lamar University.

Michelle Stambaugh 

(Ramos-Z)

Michelle Stambaugh serves the students at Los Fresnos High School as a school counselor. She has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2002.

 

During her career in public education that began in 2002, she has served as a High School CTE Teacher, school counselor, and she is currently pursuing her Licensed Professional Counseling Certificate.

 

Michelle Stambaugh received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Brownsville and Master's degree in Administration and Counseling from the University of Texas at Brownsville.

Isabel Pinon

(Kishore-Ramones)

Isabel Pinon serves the students at Los Fresnos High School as a school counselor. She has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2007.


During her career in public education that began in 1986, she has served as a High School Teacher, High School Coach, Elementary Counselor and High School Counselor.


Pinon received her Associate of Arts in Reading from Texas Southmost College, Bachelor of Science/Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Brownsville, and Master in Guidance and Counseling degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville.

Katherine Galvan 

(CCTA)

Katherine Galvan serves the students at the Alternative Education Centers as a school counselor. She has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2004.

During her career  in public education that began in 2004, she has served as a 1st grade teacher, Special Education teacher, and school counselor .


Galvan received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville and Master in Guidance and Counseling degree from the University of Texas Pan American .


Parts of Our Job

As high school counselors, we address the academic, social emotional, and college & career needs of all students. These needs are met through a delivery system of Individual Student Planning, Responsive Services, Classroom Guidance, and System Support. We assist students with the following support:
