Leadership Journey Spotlight
After serving as Assistant Principal at Los Cuates Middle School, José Serrato was selected to become the campus Principal for the 2025–2026 school year. As a member of the Aspiring Principal Fellowship, he participated in leadership experiences aligned to the Los Fresnos CISD Profile of a Leader, including executive coaching, authentic campus leadership opportunities, and mentorship from district leaders. Today, he leads Los Cuates Middle School with a commitment to instructional excellence, collaboration, and student success while continuing to serve in the United States Army Reserve.
After serving as an assistant principal at Los Frenos HIgh School, Mr. Alex Hall was selected to become the Director of Assessmetn and Evaluation for the 2026-2027 school year. As a member of the 2025–2026 Aspiring Principal Fellowship, Alex strengthened his leadership capacity through authentic campus leadership experiences, executive coaching, principal shadowing, and purposeful professional learning aligned to the Principal Readiness Criteria. These experiences prepared him to successfully transition from campus leadership to a district leadership role, where he now supports campuses through assessment, accountability, and continuous improvement efforts.
