This is our beginning learning goals for September:

MATH: In September we will begin learning place value up to the millions, different ways to read and write numbers as well as adding and subtracting multi-digit numbers.

ELA: In September we will begin exploring our new Reading Program. We will learn routines for talking about books and reading independently. We will discuss theme, character traits, and parts of a story.

WRITING: BOOM! We will be exploring figurative language and learning how to use it in our daily writing. We will review parts of speech and types of sentences.

SCIENCE: We will start our year with a unit on Life Science.

SOCIAL STUDIES: New Jersey and the role our state played in history will be our focus for the whole year.
