Mitchell's Soup Co. Fundraiser Feb 5-26th!
Meet Kandace!
Kandace looks forward to bringing fresh ideas and new perspectives to this year’s PAC!
She is a proud parent of two children who have attended Langley Fine Arts School. Her son is currently in Grade 7 at LFAS and her daughter graduated this year as valedictorian of her program at LEC.
Since the aboriginal program at LFAS introduced her son to Lacrosse 2 years ago she has become a devoted Lacrosse Mom. She has a special love for flowers, especially dahlias, which she grows in her garden during the hot summer months. Her breakfast of choice (and midnight snack) is Cinnamon Toast Crunch and loves a good Ham and Pineapple Pizza.

Meet Candice!
Candice is excited to serve as the PAC Treasurer for 2025/2026 at LFAS. She has two children at the school, one in Grade 8 and one in Grade 5.
She enjoys building community and helping teachers, parents, and students feel connected. While much of her work will take place behind the scenes, she looks forward to meeting more of the wonderful people who are part of school life.
A few fun facts about Candice:
She takes her time making decisions, but once she commits, she is all in.
She thinks papaya is a beautiful fruit, but the texture keeps her from enjoying it.
She is currently working toward her Black Belt in Shotokan Karate.
Candice can often be found at the front of the school near the Grade 5 entrance or at the park after school. She welcomes anyone to come say hello and introduce themselves.
Milagros Vidal, known to many as Maria, is the proud mother of two daughters in grades 1 and 4. She has been part of the school community for four years and has regularly supported Hot Lunch, Popcorn Day, and classroom activities such as art and reading in Kindergarten.
This year, she is joining the PAC with enthusiasm and looks forward to sharing new ideas to strengthen the community of young artists. Maria works both as an administrator and as a professional actor. Her passions include photography, painting, and traveling with her family. She especially enjoys summer camping trips and making s'mores by the fire. Originally from Peru, she has appeared in soap operas, movies, commercials, and television series.
Meet Olivia!
Her son is beginning grade 1 this year, and she is excited to become more involved in the LFAS community. Originally from England, Olivia runs a non-profit organization that supports students during their post-secondary education. Earlier in her career, she worked as a travel agent and later in government. Outside of work, she loves planning and taking trips, baking, and enjoying a good cup of tea. Fun fact: She has BA(Hons) in Peace Studies.
Olivia joined the PAC because she believes in the importance of building community and supporting children in every way possible. As the DPAC Rep, she is looking forward to representing LFAS at the district level, sharing ideas, and ensuring that students’ needs and voices are part of the broader conversation. Her goal is to help create the best possible school experience at LFAS so that all children can thrive.
Meet Michelle!
Michelle, a proud mom of a second-grader and a 4-year old preschooler, is a PAC board member for the second year running! In her downtime, she loves reading or taking walks, and one of her favorite books is The Time Traveler’s Wife. She enjoys helping with art and brings creative thinking to her volunteer work—plus a talent for getting others to pitch in too!
Fun fact: Michelle’s never broken a bone (knock on wood!). If she could travel anywhere, she’d go back to Myanmar, the most beautiful place she’s ever seen. Her go-to snack? Cheese, crackers, and olives. As Member-at-Large, she’s passionate about supporting students and staff.
