Meet Kandace!

This is Kandace’s second year as PAC President, and she is excited to continue bringing fresh ideas, new perspectives, and plenty of enthusiasm to the Langley Fine Arts School PAC!

Kandace is a proud parent of two children who have both attended Langley Fine Arts School. Her son is currently in Grade 8 at LFAS, while her daughter has graduated and is now attending Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

Outside of PAC life, Kandace has a special love for flowers especially dahlias, which she enjoys growing in her garden during the warm summer months. When she’s not tending to her flowers, you can probably find her enjoying her favourite breakfast (or midnight snack!) Cinnamon Toast Crunch and, of course, a good Pumpkin Oat Latte. 

Kandace is looking forward to another great year at LFAS and is excited to connect with families, support the school community, and help make this year a memorable one.

Meet Brittany!

Brittany is a busy mom of three, and her Grade 11 student has been part of the LFAS family since Grade 9 as a Drama Major. She’s excited to take on the role of Vice President with the PAC and become more involved with the school.

Although this is Brittany’s first time being part of a school PAC, she has plenty of experience volunteering in the community. She was a volunteer cheer coach for over 10 years and has spent the past eight years on Langley Minor Football Association’s board, where she is currently serving her second year as President. She looks forward to bringing her experience working with kids, running an organization, and bringing people together to the PAC and the entire LFAS community.

As Vice President, Brittany hopes to support PAC fundraising efforts, help expand athletic and community partnership opportunities, and contribute wherever she can to support the PAC and LFAS community.

Fun Facts: Brittany is not addicted to coffee… coffee is addicted to her. She’s a Disney girl who believes there’s always room for a little more magic in everyone’s day, and she’s completely convinced that Olaf, her dog, is her favourite child.

Meet Candice!

Candice is excited to serve as the PAC Treasurer for 2026/2027 at LFAS. She has two children at the school, one in Grade 9 and one in Grade 6.

She enjoys building community and helping teachers, parents, and students feel connected. While much of her work will take place behind the scenes, she looks forward to meeting more of the wonderful people who are part of school life.

A few fun facts about Candice:

• She takes her time making decisions, but once she commits, she is all in.

• She thinks papaya is a beautiful fruit, but the texture keeps her from enjoying it.

• She is currently working toward her Black Belt in Shotokan Karate.

Candice can often be found at the front of the school near the Grade 5 entrance or at the park after school. She welcomes anyone to come say hello and introduce themselves.

This is Candice's second term as treasurer.

Milagros Vidal, known to many as Maria, is the proud mother of two daughters in grades 2 and 5. She has been part of the school community for four years and has regularly supported Hot Lunch, Popcorn Day, and classroom activities such as art and reading in Kindergarten. 

This year, she is joining the PAC with enthusiasm and looks forward to sharing new ideas to strengthen the community of young artists. Maria works both as an administrator and as a professional actor. Her passions include photography, painting, and traveling with her family. She especially enjoys summer camping trips and making s'mores by the fire. Originally from Peru, she has appeared in soap operas, movies, commercials, and television series.

This is Maria's second term as secretary.

Meet Michelle! 

Michelle, a proud mom of third-grader and a 5-year old,  is a PAC board member for the second year running! In her downtime, she loves reading or taking walks, and one of her favorite books is The Time Traveler’s Wife. She enjoys helping with art and brings creative thinking to her volunteer work—plus a talent for getting others to pitch in too! 

Fun fact: Michelle’s never broken a bone (knock on wood!). If she could travel anywhere, she’d go back to Myanmar, the most beautiful place she’s ever seen. Her go-to snack? Cheese, crackers, and olives. As Member-at-Large, she’s passionate about supporting students and staff.

Meet Olivia!

Her son is beginning grade 2 this year, and she is excited to become more involved in the LFAS community. Originally from England, Olivia runs  a non-profit organization that supports students during their post-secondary education. Earlier in her career, she worked as a travel agent and later in government. Outside of work, she loves planning and taking trips, baking, and enjoying a good cup of tea.

Olivia joined the PAC because she believes in the importance of building community and supporting children in every way possible. Last year she served at the DPAC Rep, and was grateful to represent LFAS at the district level.

 Her goal is to help create the best possible school experience at LFAS so that all children can thrive.

Meet MJ! 

Originally from South Korea, MJ is a proud mom to a daughter in Grade 1. Over the past year, she has enjoyed volunteering in the classroom, helping with literacy and art activities. She’s excited to join the PAC, meet more families, find new opportunities to volunteer, and be more involved in the school community!
