Madelyn is thrilled to be playing Ariel in Leyden’s Summer Musical, “The Little Mermaid JR.” Growing up, The Little Mermaid was her favorite Disney movie, and she couldn’t be more excited to portray her favorite Disney princess. Madelyn has been involved in other Leyden productions, including The Music Man and Matilda. Her passion for singing and bringing stories to life on stage has always been a defining aspect of her. As she enters her senior year, she is eager to conclude her high school theater career with a musical that has always been a dream of hers.

Adrian Cruz is excited and grateful for having the opportunity to be in this show. This will be his first time performing for a show at Leyden. As an incoming 7th grader it is such a shocker to get a lead for a high school production it’s been such an honor to have this opportunity to be in the TLM Jr it has been so fun working with such amazing and talented people this past few weeks and I know that the shows will be amazing and that it will always be a memory I will cherish forevermore. Solimar Morales is excited to be playing Sebastian in Leyden's Summer Musical "The Little Mermaid JR." Solimar has been a part of the Leyden Theatre Company before she entered high school. This show specifically has a special place in her heart because she remembers watching it many times as a kid. She loves performing because she loves getting to become a new person on stage. She got into theatre by watching shows on TV and movies on TV. She is looking forward to perform more at Leyden as the years go on.

Danya Moshi is excited to be playing as Adella in Leyden’s Summer Musical ‘The Little Mermaid JR’. As a kid, she adored watching the animated movie and is thrilled to be performing it in real life. This will be her second Leyden show and her fifth musical ever. The person who inspired her to do musical theatre is her brother, Daniel Moshi. As kids, they’d always perform a bunch of silly, random shows and sing songs while putting on small costumes and hairstyles to make it feel like a reality. She is looking forward to continuing her brother’s legacy and performing more at Leyden as the years go on.

This is Rosalia's 7th show at Leyden, her 4th musical, and she has loved performing since she was little. Disney musicals have always been some of her favorites to perform, and she has always loved the magic they bring to all ages. Rosalia has loved working on this show in the few weeks we get. This is her third summer musical, and they are some of the funnest productions, as the cast is smaller and everyone gets really close and gets to know one another! Rosalia is very excited to take part in this show and all the others moving forward!

Kamila Cos represents the class of 2029, and she loves to act! Her favorite role she's ever played was the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, but specifically at Leyden, her favorite role was Adriana in the Spanish cast of Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare!

Miguel Sandoval is grateful to be part of The Little Mermaid Jr. He’s a thespian and an incoming Sophomore. Miguel has performed in shows such as Radium Girls, In the Heights, and Comedy Of Errors at Leyden. He loves hanging out with friends and spending time with family. Miguel enjoys making memories with friends in theater and he looks forward to performing many more shows in the future.

Leo Guerrero is a rising sophomore at West Leyden High School. During his freshman year, he was involved in Unresolved and First Ending while also being a part of Leyden's production of "In the Heights". Leo also has been playing the saxophone since elementary school and is excited to be a part of Leyden's Marching band this upcoming season. Outside of music, he a part of boy's cross country and enjoys nature. He is very excited to be in this production!

They are supportive and are willing to help her when she needs it. She's looking forward to doing more and bigger shows at Leyden and meeting new people.

Nira is extremely happy and thankful to play a Princess in Leydens Summer production, 'The Little Mermaid JR'. It has been very fun for her, this will be her second musical at Leyden and she is excited to continue to preform at Leyden as the years go on. She participated in the musical last summer, "Legally Blonde JR' and enjoyed it so much. She cannot wait until the school year and is thrilled to see what musicals and plays Leyden preforms next!

Jenna is excited to make her Leyden Theatre debut in "Little Mermaid Jr." Although this is her first production with Leyden, she has enjoyed attending several of its shows, with "In the Heights" being her favorite so far. Jenna has been involved in music since fourth grade and recently participated in her first full musical production, "Matilda Jr." One of her favorite parts of this experience has been making new friends who share her passion for music and theatre. She is grateful for this opportunity and looks forward to becoming a future Leyden Eagle and continuing to grow as a performer.

Zayra Olmedo is very excited to be doing the show the Little Mermaid Jr. This will be her first time being in a show at Leyden. One of her favorite shows she has seen from Leyden was In the Heights. Zayra’s first ever full musical production was Matilda jr, she’s been involved with music since 3rd grade. One of zayra’s favorite parts of this experience is that she’s meeting new people and learning from them. She’s very grateful to have this opportunity of being in the little mermaid jr with Leyden and as she continues to grow as a performer!

I’m Aris Gianakopoulos, I’ve finished my first year of Leyden high school and in August, I’m starting my sophomore year. I previously played as a Harvard Law Student/Waiter in Legally Blonde Jr. I used to perform at Maywood Fine Arts and played as different roles in many plays since I was younger. The most exciting part about this production is the fact that the story is very interesting, the songs are very enjoyable, and the musical is bringing the Disney classic film on stage.

I am Britanya Brambila, the assistant director, and though I never imagined I would take on this role because I am primarily an actor by heart, I am so glad I got the opportunity to. I've been in 11 productions in total, and though it may sound like a lot or not, I'm just starting my journey to strive to be more than I wish to be. I'm so glad I get to have this opportunity to grow as an actor and in technical areas by observing how the audience responds to our movements and choices, and how the lighting and sets really make everything come together. This show is very interesting to me because I am striving to be a fashion designer, and a main inspiration I've had for a long time is magical creatures, especially mermaids, and it was so intriguing to see what was in store for costuming. Lastly, I am so very amazed and happy to have been able to contribute with everyone in the show. Juan Narvaez is excited to be the lighting designer in Little Mermaid Jr. He has been learning all he can in all tech areas these past 2 years he has done theater. This is his 4th musical and 8th show at Leyden. He originally started as an actor, then during “Matilda the Musical,” he started his techie journey as a sound technician. Sophomore year he moved on to be the Assistant stage manager for 2 shows, “Radium Girls” and “Legally Blonde Jr.” and technical director for “Pursued by a Bear” Juan looks forward to learning more in all tech areas, and would like to pursue technical theater as his future career.

Emelie has acted in several shows, but she doesn't always have the opportunity to be a part of the technical side of theater. She's enjoyed the creative aspect of her job designing her own puppets and has loved every second of making them come to life.
