Shelby Stickley

Hello! I am so excited to be teaching 6th grade language arts at DF! This will be my 1st year at DFMS, my 5th year teaching 6th grade ELA, and my 8th year teaching altogether. I am a proud alumni of D5 and graduated from Dutch Fork High School. I went on to attend Coastal Carolina University where I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. 

Upon graduation, I taught 6th grade ELA at CrossRoads Middle School for 3 years. I met my (now husband, Jason) and we moved to Palmyra, Virginia where I taught 4th grade for 2 years. We were married in 2014 and soon moved to Charlotte, NC where I taught 6th grade ELA for 1 year. I had my son, Sam (10) in 2016 and was blessed to stay home with him for 2 years. I then ventured back into teaching and taught 3rd grade for 1 year. Along came my youngest son, Charlie (6) and I was a SAHM for 2 more years. They are in 1st and 5th grade at Piney Woods Elementary School.

I moved on to become the Director of Education/Director of Operations at a local children's academy for almost 4 years. I am very excited to be back where my passion lies, middle school...nonetheless- 6th Grade!

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being on the water, and just being involved in the community. I am so excited to be here and know it will be an awesome year! Go Foxes!
