Steiger's Classes

About Me: 

My name is Christy Steiger and I am thrilled to be entering my eleventh year of teaching at Irmo High School! I have a Master of Arts in Secondary English degree from Converse College, and I graduated from Bob Jones University in 2005 with a B.A. in English. I received National Board Certification in 2020, and I also have additional teaching experience in China, where I taught English to college freshmen and sophomores in 2005-2007.

         I am deeply passionate about English literature, writing, and the arts, so the culture here at IHS is a perfect fit for me. This school year, I will be teaching English 1 honors, Teacher Cadets, AP literature and composition, and creative writing. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year!
