Jane Rangel, the Fine Arts Department Chair at Chapin High School, brings two decades of educational experience to her classroom. A National Board Certified teacher, she earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) from Lander University. Her career includes previous tenures at Dutch Fork and Hilton Head High Schools, and she currently instructs courses in Art 1, Drawing, and Painting at Chapin High School.
Beyond her professional commitments, Ms. Rangel is a dedicated artist who enjoys painting and pottery. Her passion for global exploration was sparked by her grandmother and furthered during her studies at the University of Plymouth in Exeter, England. Having traveled to over fifteen countries—with Spain, Scotland, and Japan as personal favorites—she integrates a broad cultural perspective into her teaching. Locally, she is an active member of the Creek at Mungo Park Tennis Club and competes in USTA league tennis.
