Jane Rangel has been a teacher at Chapin High School in Chapin, SC for seventeen years and is currently the Fine Arts Department Chair. Jane attended Lander University and completed a B.A. in Studio Art. She also completed her Masters of Arts in Teaching (MAT) at Lander University. Jane is a National Board Certified teacher. Before moving to CHS she was also a teacher at Dutch Fork High School and Hilton Head High School. This year her courses will include Visual Art Foundations, Drawing, Painting, Studio Concentrations (Honors), Advanced Placement Studio Art (Drawing).
In Jane’s personal life Jane enjoys painting, making art, playing tennis and traveling. Jane's grandmother was an explorer of the world and passed this passion on to Jane. This love of traveling encouraged her to study abroad in Exeter, England at the University of Plymouth. While there she traveled all over the United Kingdom. Jane has been to over fifteen countries with Spain, Scotland and Japan being among her favorites. She is a member or Rawls Creek Tennis Club and plays USTA league tennis.
