My name is Amanda Pifer and I teach PE/Health at Dutch Fork Middle. I grew up in Columbia and attended school in Lexington School District 1, where I graduated from White Knoll High School. I went to USC - Columbia and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. I continued my education at Columbia College where I earned my Master of Education in Divergent Learning. I have recently obtained a Master of Arts in Education Administration and Supervision. I am currently in my 13th year at Dutch Fork Middle and my 19th year of teaching, and I look forward to many more! I have a 10-year-old daughter, and we love spending time together watching our favorite TV shows, playing with our 3 dogs, and being with family.
DFMS PE/Health
Our goal is to teach students how to live a healthy and active lifestyle. Our curriculum provides each student with exposure to many different sports skills, fitness concepts, and health-related material. Through this curriculum, we hope that each student finds something they enjoy and will apply those skills and knowledge throughout their life. A healthy and active lifestyle is possible for anyone! Using the skills and knowledge we provide will make living healthy an easy choice! :)
We will be using Google Classroom for all assignments. Please feel free to contact me via email at apifer@lexrich5.org or you can call my office at 803-476-4942.
