About Me

Hello! My name is Lesley Snyder. I am the wife to another awesome educator and mom to my two beautiful daughters. In my free time, I enjoy photography, hiking, reading, teaching yoga, and playing with my kids.

I have taught English for 10 years. This will be my sixth year working in Lexington Richland 5. I graduated in 2012 with a degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina. Additionally, I added on a Middle Level English Endorsement , a Gifted and Talented Endorsement, a Project Based Learning Endorsement, and a M. Ed. in Education Administration from the University of South Carolina. I've also received on-going courses on infusing coding from NC State and The Citadel.

I consider myself to be a life-long learner and a lover of reading and writing. I have a passion for teaching because many teachers in my past shaped who I am today. I believe in providing students with voice and choice. I also believe in clear, consistent communication. Lastly, I believe that ensuring students have the best education possible is by developing a partnership between the student, their family, and myself. I look forward to having an awesome year
