My name is Mandi McDermott and I have been an educator for 16 years. This will be my 11th year in D5 and my 5th year at CIS. I am so excited to get started!

How it all began:

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Newberry College and my endorsement for Gifted & Talented from Converse College. I then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Literacy from Coastal Carolina University and a 2nd Master's Degree in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University. 

How it's going:

I have lived and raised my family in the Chapin area for the last 18 years. My husband Brian and I have been together for 25 years and we have three children who are very different from one another. Brady is our oldest and has just graduated from Springhill High School. He will attend Lander University in the fall. My daughter Kassie is 16 and my youngest son, Cason is 14. All of my children are a part or have been a part of D5 schools since they began Kindergarten.
