Classroom Rules: These rules help us focus, work together, and enjoy learning!
We will practice these daily:
Follow directions the first time.
Use respectful language.
Take care of classroom materials and supplies.
Take-Home Folder: Your child will bring home a Take-Home Folder each day. Please check it every night! Inside, you’ll find: Important notes, Completed work, Homework (if assigned), Please return the folder each morning.
Change of Clothes: Please send in a weather appropriate change of clothes with your child including a pair of socks and underwear just in case of an accident.

Simple Discipline: Our school utilizes this system for both positive and corrective behavior. Our class runs on respect, responsibility, and kindness. Here's how we encourage great behavior:
•Students earn positive feedback for following rules, showing effort, and being kind.
•If a student needs reminders, they may receive a Fix-it Ticket. These forms are designed to encourage reflection, responsibility, and growth.
•If behavior continues, I’ll contact you so we can partner on a plan.
Every child gets a fresh start each day—we grow together!
Birthdays: We love to make your child feel special on their birthday! Here’s how we celebrate– your child will get a birthday sticker, song, and small classroom surprise. If you'd like to send a store-bought treat, please contact me ahead of time. Please no balloons or gifts—let’s keep it simple and school-safe!
Class Celebrations: We’ll have a few celebrations during the year. I may ask for donations or volunteers—stay tuned! If you are interested in being a homeroom parent (one person that can help lead these events), please email me!
Breakfast: Breakfast is FREE for every child and is available each morning from 7:05am to 7:35am. We leave for special areas at 8:00am, early arrival will ensure your child has enough time to eat.
Snack & Water: Our class does not have a scheduled snack time, but we like to keep a small supply of extra snacks available for students who may occasionally need one. If you are willing to donate individually packed, allergy-conscious snacks, we would appreciate it! We do have a water fountain in our classroom. You are welcome to send a water bottle with your child. Please be sure it is spill proof and ONLY has water in it.
Lunch: Lunch time is at 11:04am. Students may bring a packed lunch or receive a FREE lunch from the cafeteria. If you’d like to eat lunch with your child, please check in at the front office first. Allergies? Please let me know so we can keep everyone safe!
