Meet the Teachers

Mrs. Robin Cathcart is in her 28th year of teaching.  This is her 22nd year teaching 4 year olds.  She enjoys teaching the 4 year old kindergarten class at Oak Pointe Elementary.  Oak Pointe is an amazing school, and she feels blessed to have a job that she loves.  Mrs. Cathcart has been married to her wonderful husband for 30 years.  They have 3 adult children (former Oak Pointe Pioneers) who are all graduates of Clemson University in Agricultural Education (although Mr. & Mrs. Cathcart remain loyal Gamecock fans!) Mrs. Cathcart is a graduate of Irmo High School and Furman University.  She enjoys teaching and spending time with her family and friends.  Her favorite places to go are the beach and Disney World.  Mrs. Cathcart is looking forward to a fun-filled year of learning!

Ms. Suzanne Stephens is in her 3rd year at Oak Pointe Elementary but her first year in the 4K classroom. She has three daughters that attended Lexington-Richland 5 schools. All three are attending different colleges in South Carolina, so she is on the road a lot. Ms. Stephens graduated from the University of South Carolina with an English degree. She loves to read books and can’t wait to share her love of reading with your child. Ms. Stephens is looking forward to a wonderful year full of learning and growth.
