I am so excited to work with you and your child this year.  This is my eleventh year teaching sixth-grade science at Chapin Intermediate School. I have been teaching for twenty-eight years, and of those 28 years, I have been with Lexrich 5 for 22 years. Of those 22 years, I have taught fourth-grade, fifth-grade, and sixth-grade math and science.

I attended USC Aiken and earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. After that, I continued with my education and went to USC Upstate, earning my Master's degree in Elementary Education.  While teaching in Clinton, SC, I worked on my National Board Certification in Middle Childhood Generalist and received it in 2002.  I then renewed my certification in 2012.

 I am married, and my husband and I have two wonderful children.  Our daughter is working at MUSC and preparing for graduate school, and our son is a sophomore at The Citadel. We also have a dog named Murray who is 5 yrs old. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outside, and watching the GAMECOCKS!!!
