Autobiography :)
Dear Families,
My name is Mrs. Ball, and I am excited to introduce myself as your child's third-grade teacher. I am passionate about creating a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where every student can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
I earned both my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and my Master's degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. My teaching journey began as a long-term fifth-grade substitute teacher at H.E. Corley Elementary School before I was hired to teach third grade at Irmo Elementary School.
I have now been teaching third grade for five years and am excited to begin my sixth year. Throughout my career, I have developed a love for helping students build confidence, develop a lifelong love of learning, and reach their full potential.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy continuing to work with children during the summer as a leader for a school-age summer camp in West Columbia. This opportunity allows me to stay connected with students while creating fun, engaging experiences that encourage learning and personal growth.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am a proud wife and mother of three wonderful children—two boys and one girl. I also have four siblings, and family is a very important part of my life. In my free time, I love traveling and exploring new places, cooking, staying active, spending quality time with my family, and relaxing with a good show on Netflix.
I look forward to partnering with you this school year. I believe that strong communication and collaboration between home and school are essential to student success. Together, we can make this a wonderful year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.
Thank you for trusting me with your child's education. I can't wait to get to know each of you and have an amazing school year together!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Ball
