Stacy Meade
Room Number 14
I grew up in a military family and attended 4 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 2 high schools. Therefore, I know what it is like to be the "new kid". Fortunately, I love school.
My husband Trevor and I have two daughters. I am proud to say they share our love of learning! Our oldest, Ashley, graduated from Clemson with a master's in architecture. Our youngest, Kathryn, is a senior at USC and is majoring in English. She plans to teach high school.
I graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Education. I taught Kindergarten, Junior Kindergarten, and Montessori in Virginia. My husband's job brought us to South Carolina in 2013. We chose our home because we wanted our children to attend LexRich5 schools. I began my time at DFES as a kindergarten assistant. I loved working with the little ones and Mrs. Poston(Kneece), but I missed leading my own classroom. I taught 3rd grade the past 2 years and I am so excited to teach 2nd grade this year! These kiddos are beginning to find their independence and see the world through a new lens!
Teaching is more than a job, it is mission. I love working with students and their families. It is my goal to help the children become well-rounded students, with a love for learning and a positive attitude about school. They know that they are loved and respected when they walk into our room. We have a class family that builds each other up. My hope and prayer are that this will be a magical year for your child!
