READ, READ, READ…my motto each day! I am Ms. Lang and I am one of the Reading Interventionists at Ballentine Elementary. Each year I’m thrilled to embark on a reading journey with students. I believe, “We shouldn’t teach great books; we should teach a love of reading,” said B.F. Skinner, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to teach students to cherish the super power of reading.

With 35 years of experience in teaching reading and writing, I look forward to seeing your child grow and excel as a reader and writer. My journey has included 12 years teaching first grade, 1 year teaching second grade, and 14 years dedicated to teaching struggling readers and writers. I have also served as a Literacy Coach, supporting teachers in developing effective literacy instruction.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Teaching Reading. I am certified in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Reading Education, and my National Board Certification is in Language and Literacy. Your child’s success and development are my top priorities.
