About Me
About Me
I am a proud University of South Carolina alumna—Go Gamecocks! I earned my bachelor’s degree in Experimental Psychology and continued my education at Ball State University, where I received my master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with a concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorder.
I have worked in the field of Special Education for nearly 10 years. I began my career as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a private therapy setting before transitioning into public education as a Special Education teacher. I now have the privilege of serving as Placement Chair.
This is my second year in this building, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve the Chapin community. I am passionate about advocating for our students, supporting their families, and helping ensure every student has the opportunity to be successful.
My husband Dylan and I relocated our family (Including our Chocolate Lab, Juke!) to Chapin nearly two years ago after spending 10 years in DeLand, Florida. After the birth of our daughter, Demi, we decided to make the move to be closer to family—and we could not be happier with our decision. Plus, who doesn’t love a good fall?!
These days, we are happily navigating life with a charismatic and very sassy toddler! In my limited spare time, I love being surrounded with family, exploring nearby areas, visiting farmers markets, enjoying Lake Murray, and trying new restaurants and coffee shops. As a self-proclaimed coffee addict, I have yet to find anywhere that rivals The Coffee House in Irmo!
It has been incredibly special to experience Columbia and the Midlands all over again, this time in a completely different season of life.
