About Me
Hi! My name is Jamila Phillips, and I'm so glad you're here. This is my 21st year of teaching, including three years in Montessori elementary education, with most of my experience rooted in special education. I'm the proud mother of three boys, and being their mom has shaped the kind of teacher I strive to be every day. I'm joined in the classroom by my wonderful assistant, Ms. Jade Richards.

Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Winthrop University and a Master of Education in Divergent Learning from Columbia College.
Additionally, I've earned my certification as an Elementary Level Montessori Teacher and a certificate endorsement in Teaching Children of Poverty (PK-Grade 12).
I am also a National Board Certified Teacher and a certified mentor teacher.
