S.C. History Honors

South Carolina History 8th grade 

• We live in a great state full of history.  It surrounds us every day.  It is exciting to teach a course where you can see the history just by walking out your door!  We will take a careful look at South Carolina as a very important part of the United States and the history that affects us today.

Grading changes:  "During the 2026/2027 school year, School District Five of Lexington and Richland counties will continue the conversation about a district-wide uniform grading practice. Until that is determined, Irmo Middle School will move to a macro grading system.  That means students will get the grade they earn.  This will be their grade.  We will no longer move semester grades to a 50.  

Students have no less than 3 days to turn in the assignment without a penalty. A penalty can be applied at teacher discretion beyond the three days.
