Learning Strategies
Parent Communication
Parents will be contacted through email and/or phone bi-weekly pertaining to grades and missing work.
All documents pertaining to Support Services will be mailed to parents/guardians unless communicated otherwise for all special reviews, Annual IEPs, and Progress Reports.
Contacting Mrs. Edwards
The easiest way to get ahold of me is through email at jmedwards@lexrich5.org. All emails will be responded to within 24 hours during the week and when we return to school for emails that are sent during weekends, Holidays, and days off of school.
If you would like to leave a message on my voicemail please call 803-575-5739, however, please note that I only check voicemails at the beginning and end of the day and might not be able to respond back until 24 hours to listening to the message.
Learning Strategies Class
Please remember that Learning Strategies is a class to work on your child's IEP goals and the class has it's own curriculum based on each individual student's needs addressed in their IEP. It is NOT a study hall and work from the general education should not be expected to be completed in Learning Strategies. Occasional work can be completed during the allotted time on Fridays if all the work from Learning Strategies is completed and all service minutes stated in the your child's IEP has been given but this is not guaranteed.
