MRs. Meek

My name is Patricia Meek and I am the new Reading Coach at Irmo Elementary School! This is my 15th year of teaching and my 10th year at IES! I began my career teaching 2nd grade and I have also taught 4K as well as 1st grade. 

I have my Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and my Masters degree in Language and Literacy, both from The University of South Carolina. I live in Swansea and have lived there most of my life. I am married to my wonderful husband Scott and we have an amazing daughter named Evie. We love spending time together, watching Evie play volleyball, and doing anything outdoors!

I love supporting and working with readers and writers and supporting teachers and staff who support readers and writers! IES is the best place to BEE and I am looking forward to a wonderful school year. Please reach out if you have any questions or need any support throughout the year!
