Hola y bienvenidos!
Estimadas familias, welcome back to another exciting school year! I have been teaching for more than eighteen years and this is my fifth year at Dutch Fork Middle School. I will be teaching Spanish I and I will be guiding students through a positive learning experience of the Spanish Culture and language within its three modes: Interpretive, Interpersonal, and Presentational.
You will find resources on this site and I will use Google Classroom for keeping students informed about detail information for their daily assignments and important dates. Google Classroom will be used as well as a storage of resources. Students have received email invitations to join the class, those were sent before the school started.
If you need other information, please let me know.
What is going to be on Google Classroom? This is an online collaboration tool for Students that we use daily in class (parents can request to be invited as guest. Please send me an email if you have not been invited yet) in Google Classroom we post: daily assignments, electronic copies/PDF of handouts, video tutorials, links to websites they need to go, video, etc. anything electronic needed for the daily lesson, also information for projects we are working on. It is easy for students so they can follow up using that platform. If your student is absent, please remind your child to check Google Classroom daily! Gracias!
Also please remind your student to check he/she has completed all what is needed for the assignment and then to "Turn In". If they "Turn In" without any content, it is reflected in the grade.
Parents/guardians cannot join Google Classrooms. However, you may receive daily or weekly summaries from Google Classroom. Contact any teacher to have your email enrolled for these summaries in case you have not done yet.
I am available for tutoring or extra help, but it is important your student lets me know so we can find a time that fits best the new schedule for this school year.
