Admittance
During class time, students need a pass from their current teacher in order to visit the library.
There is a limit of 2 students per class. Each student should have their own pass.
Upon arrival, students must sign in at the Circulation Desk. Before leaving, they must sign out.
Student Expectations
Students are expected to:
show respect to all people and property within the library.
speak in a manner and volume that is appropriate in the library.
help keep the library organized and neat.
Students will not bring food or drinks into the library.
Borrowing Books (Check-Out)
Students may check out up to 5 books at a time. Some restrictions may apply if outstanding books or fines are due.
Students must have their student ID to check out any book.
Due dates are stamped in the back of each book for student reference.
Returning Books (Check-In)
Students must return all books within 3 weeks from date the book was checked out. This does not include days when the school is closed.
There are 3 book return bins located outside the library - one by each of the library doors, and another by the Fox Hole. Books can also be returned to the book return slot at the Circulation Desk inside the library.
Overdue (Late) Books
If a book is kept past the initial 3-week checkout period it is overdue. If a book is needed for a longer check-out period, students may renew it for another 3 weeks as long as it is not on hold for someone else.
A student with an overdue book from the previous school year, they will not be allowed to check out any more books until the book is returned or paid for.
Lost or Damaged Books
When a student loses, destroys, or damages a book beyond repair, they will be charged the cost of replacing the book.
A student will not be allowed to check out any books until they pay for a lost or damaged book.
Computer Use
All district-issued Chromebooks and computers are for schoolwork only.
The library houses 4 Chromeboxes for student/staff use.
There are no student printers in the library.
FoxTech
All Chromebook repairs are handled through the FoxTech office in the library.
Students should report damage to their Chromebooks within 24 hours.
