Welcome to the DFMS library! This is my first year as the school librarian, but my 14th year teaching and my 9th year at DFMS. I earned my Masters of Library Science degree from USC this past spring. I also have a Bachelors Degree in adolescent education and history from Canisius College and my Masters Degree in literacy from the University at Buffalo. In addition to holding my middle level and high school certification in social studies, I am a certified reading teacher and a National Board Certified teacher. When I'm not working, I love spending time with my husband and my daughters, Josie (4) and Frankie (1).  My favorite genre of books is mystery/thriller, but I've recently discovered a love for fantasy books! I hope to be able to help you find your new favorite series or genre this year in the library!
