This is my second year teaching at Dutch Fork High School!
I'm honored to continue my teaching journey in such a wonderful & supportive district and school! I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelors in Biology and a Minor in Psychology, with personal focus on Education. I am passionate about neuroscience, mental & physical health, our environment, and building connections between those things through science education.
Prior to teaching, I spent a year working as a Sensory and Cognitive Coach and Assessor for students ranging from 4-18 years old. With a history of student teaching and tutoring, I am thrilled every day with the opportunity to combine my love for working with young people and my love for science!
I enjoy playing various instruments, exploring nature, snow skiing, and spending time with my four cats! Over the summer I went skydiving, spent two nights in a cave, and went scuba diving! I grew up in Irmo, so I know what it's like to be a student in this district. I'm here to support my students however I can, and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and exploring science together this year!
